I was a little overwhelmed by the reaction of mr. Wilkerson when I gave him a referral request for Dr Alvarado with regards to treatment for a neck problem which IS most likely related to an accident I had! I have not contacted a lawyer or the other person’s insurance! I’ve been using my personal insurance for evaluation and the doctor who gave me the PM referral had no problem with this not being treated as a vehicle accident claim! I told Mr Wilkerson I would continue using my insurance but he got off into accident coverage versus medical coverage when it has not been reported to anyone as a vehicular accident other than my auto insurance who told me if I wanted to proceed with medical compensation from his policy, I would have to contact his insurance…I did not pursue this. My neck is very damaged by arthritic changes, I cannot do MRI to further investigate my neck! I just need some relief for neck pain either by pain management or physical therapy which has been ordered thru a UT medical center. That doctor was going to refer me to their pain management but I said oh no, I already had a pain management doctor and would continue with them! Well apparently that’s not the case! This little episode earlier in the week just struck me as totally out of the parameters of necessity! Now I’m even kind of leery about continuing my shingles nerve pain management. I won’t further address the issue with nurses or Mr Wilkerson when I go for my next appointment since it will have no bearing on my treatment at Spine and Pain! This may not be the area to comment about this, but I needed it off my chest! If this affects any follow up care let me know! Linda cockrill

My wife and I have been patients of Dr Sergio Alavardo for over 2 decades. In the beginning we received marvelous care, but over the years we see less and less of Dr Alavardo. In fact we havent had a treatment conversation in over a yr. from Dr Alavardo . He no longer sees patients, he only performs procedures. This leave you seeing a PA, a nurse with 2 more yrs experience, we've seen PA Salazar for the last time. My wife was asked to strip to show proof of where her patch was. What is this all about, My wife will never strip down for this again.!! Then my wife took out a container of Altoid mints, PA Salazar says and i quote "you're sharing your drugs now." Wow what a DA move that would be on any patients part. We are in our mid 60s and This was physically and mentally emotional tasking and abusive. PA Salazar is an insult to her profession if you do not trust your patients why do you bother to treat, specially patients who have never asked for anything more than what Dr Alavardo issued. In fact my wife and I now have pulled ourselves off of all medications that keep you numb. The last years visit have brought many questions of treatment to our minds. Will we be on drugs all our lives,, left at their care. No more, When nurse Practitioner Salazar ask my wife to show her Patch underneath her clothing like she was a 12 years old and made her strip. This was ridiculous we have never done anything wrong in 20 years of being doctor Alvarado's patients. Then to top it off the altoids and PA Salazar bursting out saying oh my God you're sharing your medications now. My first reaction wwas more than an insult. I was mortified and my wife turned around to her and said there altoids would you like one. Staff as misspent meds to numerous locations over this last yrs time. The staff have even gotten blood work/ paper work secured up. This is huge. As patients you are to follow drs , so we will onky be seen fir procedures, no more medication for daily use. What's going on in this office
